Charming chocolate scented flowers to delight 'chocoholics' and plant lovers alike. The 'daisy-like' flowers flush in the morning, releasing their scent. Drought tolerant dwarf plants for borders or pots. Chocolate Daisies are night time bloomers, and their cocoa scent is strongest in the morning hours. Flowers May-July. Height 20-30cm (8-12"); spread 20-30cm (8-12").

Growing Information

Sow seed indoors on the surface of good quality compost in pots or trays. Lightly cover with compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm windowsill, at a temperature of between 5-0ºC. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist and when large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots. Germination is usually up to 21 days. Acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost, 30-45cm (12-18") apart.
